Microtek Solar DC Cables are designed specifically for connecting photovoltaic modules in extensive solar system setups. These cables are equipped with UV protection, low conductor resistance, and high mechanical strength to endure various weather conditions.
They can carry a current of up to 34 Amps when positioned two cables adjacent to surfaces.
It’s essential to understand that the silver color of the cables comes from a TIN coating, not from a deficiency of copper. If the TIN coating is damaged, the pure copper underneath is exposed. The XLPE cables are made from pure annealed copper and feature a TIN coating that improves conductivity in line with TUV standards. Using standard copper cables for solar applications is not advisable.
